The Broads Authority had set up a competition for a new visitors centre at Acle Bridge. We put together a proposal that would use local materials such as Thatch and Timber Framing, a proposal that would be able to resource all of its materials from Norfolk. We concentrated the design on preserving the Grade II listed building already at the site and one that made the most of the fantastic panoramic views over the Broads.
This is the kind of post I end up bookmarking and forwarding to a couple of people. A few of these ideas are things I'd half-figured out but never put into words this cleanly.
